When NATO got their hands on weaponry smuggled out of the United States to Russia, Then 2nd Lt. Oxford was sent with the investigative team to keep an eye on things in case they got sticky. With diplomatic ties being in the balance the legal team was sent to aid the embassy in apprehending those responsible.

Deployment 2008 - Iraq
After a promotion in 2006 a few yeards later she was sent as legal representation to help negotiate for release of hostages being held captive. Hostages were also accused of breaking US laws and extradition back to the US was in the cards.

History:
French Mother, American Father. Jamie's sister Debra was born while her father was stationed over in France, deb was a child out of wed-lock. In essence, she oldest sister was the reason her parents married. Her parents seemed to be happy most of her life and that has made quite a difference to Jamie growing up during her early years.

Jamie also has an older half brother Ricard Brighton from her mother's first marriage. The family despite being a blended family was close and supported her through her younger years. Jamie got the short end of the stick when it came to all the attention. Debra was the one everyone took care of and doted on. Over the years as Jamie grew up she got into lots of fights in school and started becoming protective over her older sister when people would mess with her.

When Jamie was 17 she met Bobby Oxford, and if that wasn't a mess she didn't know what was. Their relationship was an again off again relationship that lasted until she was 18. After a bitter fight one day Jamie decided to show Bobby the door after he had fallen into bed with some woman she didn't even know. Want not waste not about sums that up. In one of her brilliant, not so brilliant moves she and Travis had a brief flirtatious fling. It didn't take the two of them to realize they didn't want to ruin a perfectly good friendship. They remained close as she healed over the years from the damage Bobby had done to her trust. It was three years later when she and Travis officially started dating once she made it out of the Naval Academy. Somewhere along the line it just felt right.

It wouldn't even take them a year to marry, she wouldn't turn 22 just yet; almost but not quite. While she was finishing up law school she and Travis would gain a son. Nathan hadn't exactly been planned but he was welcomed all the same. She would commission into the Navy just a year later. Then along came Daniel. Though planned their second son was born earlier than expected.

The next 10 years or so following Daniels birth would be full of promotions, deployments, depositions, arraignments, plea bargaining and an explosion. The explosion in 2008 was when negotiating for the release of hostages. Jamie would suffer shrapnel wounds to her back as she managed to hit the deck. It was enough to make her realize the dangers others in the military faced, and worried her more about Travis' safety. She was a pencil pusher for crying out loud. 3 years ago she was promoted to a Lt. Cmd and remains a prosecution attorney for JAG.

Jamie heard Travis' voice and she was just thankful he had picked up. "You could say that sweet cheeks" she stated as she got a cup of tea. She kept some in the lounge area for nights like this. She didn't want coffee it wouldn't help her sleep in the slightest. "Staring down the gun of another cop isn't exactly how I planned on spending lunch hour." she admitted. "It all started when they fired our forensic tech for misrepresenting and concocting evidence. I have to reopen 45 cold cases involving at fault officers. I just.." she sighed after a moment.

Picking up her tea as she steeped it before taking a sip. "Then my genius partner decides to wail on some cuffed guy that wasn't even our arrest." she shook her head. "That better not come back and bite him in the ass because I am not ready for a new partner." Jamie hated change and most anything that came with it and her partner always looked out for her.
