Jamie didn't want to deal with things right now. She hadn't been quite sure what she was thinking when she scheduled Robert Sr. and 'Jason' to come and talk to her on the same day. She had quickly cleared the lobby of Jason before Robert came in. It had been very awkward running into him again. Things were very stand offish at first. Jamie not only looked him in the eye but she had a sternness in her eyes that years ago hadn't been there. It came with a military upbringing and a military lifestyle. "I want the truth. No excuses." She stated firmly. Quite honestly Jamie needed anything she could get to make Noel's court case look good.

Biting her bottom lip, as she did when she was in deep but troubled thought she closed her eyes a moment. Jamie really hadn't been paying attention to the time because Travis was supposed to swing over and take her to lunch shortly on top of the fact she had to figure out how to keep tweedle dee and tweedle dumb (Robert and Jason) from running into each other. "It's not about closure, it's about motive and perception." She was sure this whole discussion of what had come to light because of Victoria's big mouth was not going to sit well with Bobby letting it go on record; but she had to try for Noel's sake.

Jason Robert Oxford

He had made sure that any thoughts, feelings, were under lock and key before he had even stepped inside her office. It wasn't only about what they once had been, but he was sure there would be photos and memories he didn't want to face or touch. The more distance he tried putting between two families, those around him only succeed in doing the opposite of it. Noel was a starting what would shape up to be the something he wasn't in town for.

At her firm statement, Jason rose an eyebrow. The truth? He felt baffled for a moment. Since there were so many of them she needed to be more specific on which one she was asking for. While he never needed an excuse to keep his mouth shut, in this instance he didn't want to talk, "The truth?" he shifted in his chair carefully. He was still waiting for the meds to kick in, "About what? Noel aiming the gun?"

He didn't think for a minute she was looking for a closure. The slap she had given him on her engagement night had been more than enough. Her comment was more towards being intruding than anything else he could think of, "I didn't think for a moment it was about closure, Commander." And nodded, "I'll take your word on being for motive and perception."

Jamison "Jamie" Oxford

Jamie was angry at Victoria still. Though Jamie had found her happiness, they said the worst events in your relationship bring out the worst qualities of a person. Betrayal was something that didn't sit well with Jamison. The Lieutenant Commander looked towards Bobby as he questioned her. "Everything" she stated as firmly as she had when she had asked for the truth. There was no sense of the playful side of the woman that Bobby had gotten to know. This was work, and it was time to be serious. Was he really that shallow? Jamie thought about making some sarcastic remark but that would be unprofessional.

There was no part of Jamie that regretted slapping Bobby for ruining her engagement party. No one touched Travis and didn't feel the tiger claws of the blonde. Jamie didn't really want the truth of everything. However, this case was going to force her to hear it and she knew that it was going to force closed wounds to tear open again. Jamie mentally distanced herself from what he may or may not say based off of the conversation that she had with Noel. 'He did it to keep us alive' she could play those words over all day in her head and never forgive him for the pain she had gone through. That was not what this was about and she would keep her composure.

Everything?

Bobby wanted to again raise an eyebrow, but stopped himself from doing it. No, he decided that this was not the time nor the place to talk about private issues. Exhaling he leaned back, he wasn't going to give her want she wanted, not right now. He was starting to see why Vicki was harping him about bringing out the truth. If they had wanted to know, they would have made the effort, since they hadn't, he wasn't sure what would change if they knew.

"Noel asked or rather warned me not to step into The Sailor House. Days later I did exactly that. In the evening, to see Veronica." And there he had gotten what he hadn't expected, a warm welcome, after a icy start, found one person who didn't hate him, "I guess I stayed longer then intended. He made a bad judgement of error for a second, Commander. I don't think he would have shot me." Almost did, but that was beside the point.

With a sigh,"Only if I heeded him, none of this would have happened." Yea he was avoiding answering to her 'everything'. "I should have heeded him." But he hadn't, had he? Maybe he should be arrested for same judgement of error as well.

Bobby wasn't giving her anything useful. All he had done was admitting to trespassing on personal property. Which is exactly what her own client then did in return. Only Bobby hadn't come at Noel with a loaded weapon. "He saved your life and that is the best you can do for him." She knew that if Bobby got on the stand and said that it was bad judgement in error, or if that went into her report it would screw Noel over very easily.

Jamie was going to have to call Victoria in anyway, the other woman had been a witness. "Your wife said something. What was it?" She knew from the other witness reports. "The officer has already told me what he heard. I will be bringing in Mrs. Oxford as well." He could dance half of the scene at the house but she would go around him and she was making that very clear.

"So tell me what happened at the house." Her eyes pierced towards him. Jamie had always known when he was hiding things. They had been very close at one point. Only now she was using it against him. Right now she was trying to help Noel. Whatever personal issue Bobby had with trying to help, she would supercede if she had to do.

Saved his life by not shooting at him, but then Jason realised he hadn't said the main part, "Even thou I went in, I only stayed at the door, however I was invited inside by Veronica. Not sure if that helps, if she told me to go away I would have." He wondered if dealing with a court marshall was more worth than dealing with the Oxfords and their sniffing for trouble. Shifting again, "Since this is not clearly helping, I'm going to ask you, how do you suggest I help him?" Other than digging a hole further deeper, all while trying to clear thing up was not going anywhere. Money for bail was not going to be an issue as he could go down to the sheriff's office and pay it.

He almost froze at her words, a part of him feared about what she knew, "Why don't you tell me what you know, before I say anything further, Commander." He had no idea how much Toothy had heard or what was in the report.

He knew that look, seen it many times while they had dated in the past. but right now he wasn't sure if the meaning was the same as the one he had known, "I open the door to find him mad as hades, a fist flies, by the time I recover, I'm looking at a gun barrel end."
